The HDTV receiver

High definition television or HDTV is the more popular and emerging TV technology that is making the market anticipating and longing nowadays.

The reason for such warm perception for HDTV lies on its ability and feature that is far more superior compared to its earlier counterparts in the TV manufacturing industry.

HDTV is becoming too popular that a recent poll of TV viewers in Europe and also in the United States show that televiewers prefer to buy HDTV on teir next purchase of TV sets.

The survey can be very insightful and interesting. With the current tag prices for HDTV units, purchasing HDTV set will be very costly and expensive.

On the average, marketers and sales men estimate that the price of an HDTV is about 15 to 25 times more o above the price tag for the regular and conventional TV sets currently out and released in the market.

Superior quality

One of the added and most breath-taking feature of the HDTV sets is its superior image and picture quality. It ins understood that the screen of HDTV is far ore better than the screen quality of the analog TV.

There is no denying to that fact. It is also very obvious and very logical. HDTV images are incomparable to the usual images and screen quality you probably are accustomed to using your well-loved and almost obsolete analog TV set.

What more, with the excellent sound quality that comes along in the package with HDTV, nothing can beat it. At least not within this time frame.

HDTV signal

There is another downside though about HDTV. It is its signal or receiver capacity. Because HDTV uses the complex and sophisticated digital broadcasting technology, HDTV has a receiver or tuner that is not compatible to receive or accept signals from analog TV broadcast transmitters.

The current broadcast technology used by all TV networks around the world is still analog. It is estimated that a complete switch to digital TV transmission will be far costlier and more expensive for the whole TV industry.

In the United States, which is one of the countries to switch to digital broadcasting in 2007, legislators have acknowledged the expense and costs that will go along with the switch.

The US Senate is trying to pass a bill that will mandate the government to subsidize the common people's purchase of converter boxes.

Because digital TV transmissions will never be received by analog TV receivers, the analog TVs will be forced out and dumped soon.

The HDTV with its superior and digital broadcast compatible HDTV receiver will be too costly for households with average and below average income. Ending TV entertainment for this demographic will also be very unfair.

That is what converter boxes are there for. Converter boxes contain HDTV receiver equipment inside them that will receive digital TV broadcast signals. Since the analog TV receiver can not do the work, the converter box will the task for it.

Thus, analog TVs will be eventually equipped with HDTV receiver externally, making viewing of TV shows still possible despite the potential of digital TV takeover.

HDTV receiver

HDTV receiver is the internal equipment or part of the HDTV that will set it apart from other and currently existing TV models and equipment.

For analysts and experts, HDTV receivers are the significant factor, or the key to the full-scale success and operation of digital HDTV broadcasts.

The superiority and excellence of HDTV viewing is out there, waiting for your indulgence. It is about high time you try and consider buying your own HDTV unit now.

Moreover, HDTV is the TV of the future. Getting one now will make you experience and get an initial test of the bright, superior and excellent TV viewing experience to come.

As a TV addict, an video movie buff and a TV aficionado all at one, it is imperative you get hold of HDTV with HDTV receivers, not tomorrow, but now.
